Introduction
Our presentation today will be on capital punishment best known as the death penalty. We chose to do this project on this important issue because the death penalty has been the guide of discrimination and unfairness towards people with no power. In our school and community we learned how equality can be taken away from people and justice is never sought out for them. This is an issue that is not only wrong but is also very discriminatory when it comes to deciding who gets executed. Many innocent people have fallen victim to this legal justice system and specific groups of people are not as vulnerable as others despite them committing the same heinous crimes.
This is a serious issue to many people all around the world and the debates on whether its right or wrong can go on and on and not everyone will ever come to an agreement. Executing criminals won’t do anything to them but make it easier for them to escape justice. The criminal justice system in our society today is questionable, from laws to false accusations and innocent people put on death row, there has to be a change in our judicial system starting by removing the death penalty. Other than it being inhumane we’ll discuss the discriminatory and the expenses behind the death penalty and how it doesn't deter crime. Capital punishment does not make any major changes to crime rates, it only promotes violence and demonstrates the power authorities have over people that in reality no one should ever have.
The capital punishment portrait by our criminal justice system should be abolish completely not only in the Unites States but from the world; throughout history the death punishment has been a factor that allows for discrimination, and a waste of the poor’s money.
